Historic Castle Location

Solar Do Castelo is the only hotel inside the medieval walls of São Jorge Castle, in Lisbon's Alfama district. The 18th-century building stands on the site of the former Royal Palace kitchens. Peacocks from the castle often roam the hotel's courtyard.
